agent-next Sandbox gives Claude or ChatGPT a private cloud computer: the assistant can start an isolated Linux machine, run commands and code in it, and read and write files there. Nothing runs on your own computer. The service is in free public beta.
Connect it to Claude
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it agent-next sandbox and paste this URL:
https://mcp.agent-next.com/mcp - Click Connect. A sign-in page opens: choose Continue with Google or Continue with GitHub, then Allow. Your free account is created on first sign-in.
- In a new chat, ask for example: “Start a sandbox and run python3 -c 'print(sum(range(101)))'.”
Connect it to ChatGPT
Until the app is listed in ChatGPT's app directory, adding it needs ChatGPT's developer mode (available on paid plans):
- In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps, open Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Create an app with the URL
https://mcp.agent-next.com/mcpand authentication OAuth. - Click Connect, sign in with Google or GitHub, then Allow.
Common problems
- The sign-in page says the sign-in expired. Close it and click Connect again in Claude or ChatGPT; each sign-in works once and for 10 minutes, in the browser where it started.
- The assistant says it is not authorized. Disconnect and connect again; this refreshes your sign-in.
- A sandbox I used earlier is gone. Idle sandboxes pause after a few minutes, and a sandbox paused for 7 days is deleted with its files. Ask the assistant to read back anything you want to keep. See limits.
- The assistant says my limit is reached. Free accounts have a fixed amount of running time and a small number of sandboxes at once. Ask the assistant to remove sandboxes you no longer need.
- Is the service up? See the status page.
